Stop Underarm Sweat

Yes you can stop excessive underarm sweating! There are many ways to stop sweating underarms and it is proven that it can be cured in most of cases.

First of all you should see your doctor if you are really concerned. It is recommended because theheavy sweating can be a sign of unhealthly changes in your body. Most of them are not dangerous but it is always good to be sure.

Use a good antiperspirant. Most of common deodorants are made just to cover the bad smell and not to prevent sweating. This is the role of deodorant, so if you have a sweating problem buy yourself a good deodorant.

Wear a plain white 100% cotton t-shirt underneath your typical shirt(s). This will be your first line of defense against sweat puddles forming on your outer shirt. Also, the white t-shirts are easy to bleach/oxy-clean the stains out of.

Take with yourself a pair of socks at the morning to change them if your feets are sweating too much. This is just my simple idea.

Take a bath reguraly. 1-2 a day is enough for you to feel fresh and not to smell bad.

Maintain less body hair. Your hair catch many bacterias and oil when you sweat and cause a bad smell.

Watch your weight because obese people tend to have more sweat problems than slim. It is because their sweat glands have to work harder to maintain the right temperature of your body.

Some tips:

  • If you do not want it to show, wear a white shirt. Sweat stains on dark colors make it more noticeable.
  • Wear natural fibers, such as cotton, as synthetic materials do not breathe and allow proper air circulation.
  • When you know you are sweating, you tend to get nervous and sweat more.
  • Do not wear an undershirt if you don’t need to, it only makes you warmer.

As you see there are some ways to stop excessive underarm sweating. Stop sweating underarms!

Stop Underarm Sweating Naturally – Causes Of Sweat Problem

January 22nd, 2010 admin No comments

This second post in this blog designed to help you stop underarm sweating naturally is going to be a continuation of the last post, so please at first look at previous post. There I have ended with some possible causes of the sweat problem, so let’s continue.

4. Abnormal functions of the spinal cord

Spinal cord is one of the most important parts of your body’s nervous system and it is responsible for controling the sweating mechanism of your body. Certain problems in the spinal area can cause hyperhidrosis. Syringomyelia is one such condition, although it only causes hyperhidrosis in rare occasions. Lesions and tumors in the spinal cord area may also trigger hyperhidrosis.

5. Abnormal functions of the brain

Sweating is controlled by the hypothalamus. It is the same part of the brain that manages hunger and thirst. It is also in charge of making sure that the body maintains a certain level of temperature to be able to continue with its normal processes. The brain may have a tainted sensory response, causing the body to sweat abnormally. This is especially true if you are suffering from certain diseases or infections.
As such, the brain will tell the body to respond by perspiring because it thinks that the temperature inside is going up. There could be some emotional factors too. If you’re anxious, depressed, and stressed, your mental processes become disoriented, leading to hyperhidrosis.

6. Obesity

Obese people are more likely to suffer from excessive sweat because their sweat glands have to work doubly hard to get rid of unwanted minerals.

7. Food reaction

You may be sweating a lot ‘thanks’ to some food. If you eat a lot of spicy and hot food it may cause some heavy sweat.

8. Hard exercising

If you exercise a lot and hard your sweat glands have to work hard to cool your body and thus they may get used to working a lot and case you a sweat problem.

These are all possible causes of sweat problem. In the next post I will describe some methods which will help you stop underarm sweating naturally.

“It’s not always easy for the average person to know the difference” says Benjamin Barankin, MD, a dermatologist in Toronto and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Heavy sweating can be a warning sign of thyroid problems, diabetes or infection. Excessive sweating is also more common in people who are overweight or out of shape. And it may be caused by hyperhidrosis, a condition in which people sweat heavily, but are otherwise healthy. The good news is that most cases of havy sweating are harmless.

Let’s now analyze, what is excessive sweat.

If you just sweat more than other people in a hot day or when you exercise, then it is a normal reaction of your body so it shouldn’t mean that you have a sweat problem. However, troubles may occur when you sweat more than your body need to. This is so called hyperhidrosis.

Let’s look through the possible causes before we try to stop sweating underarms. Excessuve sweat can be provoked by:

Many doctors belive that heavy sweating can be caused by genes. If someone from your family have the same problem it may be inherited.

2. Puberty and menopause

It is a medical fact that tennagers in the age of puberty are tend to sweat more than older or younger people. It is caused by the changes in their body, which is entering the age of adulthood. It is similarly with menopause. When a woman comes through menopause, her body changes and this can result in excessive sweat.

3. Abnormal function of the nerves.

The sweat glands and the nerves are positioned all over the body. Nerves, as the receptors of brain, are responsible for sending the messages to the brain which will trigger a reaction based on them and also pass it to the muscles or glands through nerves. As you see nerves are very important, so when they don’t work well it may cause you a sweat problem.
